Psychological Services
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent
for Student Services, the district's school psychologists
serve the needs of at-risk students, their families,
teachers, and administrators in a variety of ways.
These include:
- Conducting psychoeducational assessments
of referred students for Special Education
programs and services.
- Providing consultative services or techniques
to facilitate student learning and development.
- Providing short-term counseling services
to special education students, as IEP teams
designate, and regular education students,
by agreement of the psychologist and site
administrator.
- Assisting school patrons in gaining access
to services from outside agencies and community
service providers.
