Senior Attendance Drive

Elk Grove Auto Mall 2011/2012 Graduating Seniors Attendance Drive
Regular school attendance translates into responsibility and a better opportunity for academic success. It also translates directly into the education funding school districts receive from the state. As a result, the Elk Grove Unified School District runs the No Excuses – Go to School Attendance Campaign to raise awareness about the importance of strong school attendance.
Thanks to the generosity of the Elk Grove Auto Mall, EGUSD graduating high school seniors have a special opportunity to be rewarded for strong attendance habits. For the sixth year in a row, the member-dealers of the Elk Grove Auto Mall (EGAM) have agreed to donate up to $20,000 to a student with perfect attendance for at least five months to be used towards the purchase of a vehicle from one of the EGAM dealerships.
To be eligible, graduating high school seniors must have perfect attendance in all classes for at least five months. These months do not have to be consecutive. Students must also have at least at 2.0 GPA. On May 4, 2012, one finalist will be selected from each of the district’s nine comprehensive high schools and one finalist will be selected to represent Calvine, William Daylor and Rio Cazadero high schools.
The ten finalists will attend an event on May 11, 2012 at the Elk Grove Auto Mall. Each student will choose a key to start a car. The key that starts an engine will be the lucky winner. The other nine finalists will all receive $100 VISA gift cards.
The $20,000 prize can be redeemed for any car at any of the 20 brands at the Elk Grove Auto Mall. The Elk Grove Auto Mall will pay taxes, licensing and/or registration fees incurred following the purchase of a vehicle up to the $20,000 prize limit. The Grand Prize winner shall be solely responsible for any other costs greater than $20,000 that are associated with purchasing the vehicle. EGUSD shall not be responsible for any such taxes, fees or costs. Please see the rules for more details.
If you have any questions about this contest, please contact the Communications Department at 686-7732. Thank you and good luck to all seniors!
