KVIE Interstitial Video (200 points)

Objective:

Produce a project that we will submit to KVIE to broadcast on one of their channels. (Note: All submissions will be featured on KVIE’s website. The highest quality submission will be aired on KVIE’s channels.  The length must be TRT :55 or 1:25.

Definition:

Interstitial - A short program generally shown between long-form TV programming on broadcast television. An interstitial might be a micromovie, a short animation, a documentary, broadcaster branding or music clips. On premium channels, such as HBO, they often feature a cast interview from an upcoming movie.

Since Public Television is a non-commercial network they do not run commercials. Therefore Public TV utilizes short-form educational segments to use as interstitial programming at the end of each show. These short videos cover various agricultural, business, medical, and environmental topics.  They air as stand alone segments in between (interstitially) at the end of each program.
