Post-Secondary Exploration Assignment
Instructions: Research several schools and select two. Submit a plan that shows the coursework you would take to earn a degree or certificate. You do not need to write a plan for film/television, but find a program that matches the results of your interest survey. Type out the courses you would take to complete the program you select. Local Community Colleges
Community colleges offer two-year degrees and certificate
programs. The Associate Degree may be obtained by the completion of all
required courses for a major (from 18 to 30 plus units), fulfill general
education requirements, satisfy competencies, and
sufficient electives to meet a minimum total of 60 units. Degrees are
designated by "A.A." for Associate in Arts and "A.S." for
Associate in Science. Also a Career
Certificate (18 units or more) or a Certificate of Completion (17.5 units
or less) is offered to students completing program requirements. Our local
community colleges also offer transfer agreements that can guarantee admission
to most CSU and UC schools.
