Short Film-Brainstorming

12 Points (4 points each)

Instructions: In your group brainstorm three different ideas for a short film.  Select one member of the group to type these ideas in Microsoft Word.

Each idea should have a beginning, middle, and an end.

  1. The beginning should intrigue the audience and capture its interest while setting up a conflict or situation that needs to be resolved.
  2. The middle should cover the evolution of that conflict.
  3. The end should provide the solution of the conflict or its transformation into something else.

Keep in mind that your story must be told in under five minutes.

Turn in your Word document on to the server in the appropriate folder for your period.  Make sure that the name of each member of your group is listed at the top of the page.  Also name the file with each member’s name (example: Smith_Jackson_Jones.doc)

GRADING CRITERIA: Each idea is worth up to four points.  Full points will be given to ideas that are:

    1. Have a clear beginning, middle and end.
    2. Appropriate for the Teen Digital Reel competition
    3. Creative.
