Objective: To create a ten-shot short film sequence that demonstrates the building of suspense, good camera composition and competent editing. 

 

You may shoot this project after school or during class.  Find out if all of the members of your group can meet in a central location and specific time to shoot this film. 

 

 

SHOT LIST INSTRUCTIONS
After deciding on the concept, select a typist for your group.  Think creatively about camera angles.  Discuss possibilities and then list the ten shots.  Number each shot and list it as a XLS, LS, MS, CU, ECU, or OTS.

EDITED FILM GRADING CRITERIA

 

- Ten camera set-ups, with creative composition

 

- Ten well timed edits

 

- Sequence builds suspense

 

- Reveals source at suspense at end, something that is terrible

 

- Use of music that effectively adds to suspense
