Message to Parents:
Class assignments which may require completion at home are 50% of the
grade. In-class participation is
50% of a student’s grade.
Students must be present to participate. These activities include sustained
silent reading/ writing, class discussion, oral presentations, and group
assignments. Grades on assignment
could be lowered or not accepted if any of the following occur:
1. First and last
names are not on paper.
2. The paper is
illegible and not up to students capabilities. Typed work is accepted.
3. The assignment
is late….there will be a late charge. If a student is absent there is a 1
week grace period. After the week,
the assignment will not be accepted.
Finals are the exception; all work must be completed and turned in
before the end of the final exam period or end of the quarter.
