COUNSELOR'S CORNER
Parents and guardians can contact our counseling office at (916) 689-7502 during regular school hours, or by e-mail anytime set up an appointment to meet with their student's counselor. Students can see their counselor by requesting a referral from their classroom teacher, or by making an appointment with the counselor. The Calvine High School counseling staff is a dedicated team composed of a full time professional counselor and clerical support personnel who will make every effort to assist students and families. Feel free to seek out our help for any academic, personal, or career need.

What do you do when you want to see your counselor?
- Have teacher write a referral-emergency/crisis only-immediate response.
- Drop in counseling office-emergency/crisis-only-immediate response.
- Self request form-fill out form in counseling office, your counselor will send you a pass for you as soon as possible depending on the issue.
- The counselor can provide support for issues such as:
Sexual harassment
Bullying
Suicide prevention
Drug/alcohol use/abuse
Self esteem issues
Self destructive behaviors
Eating disorders
Grief and loss
Tobacco cessation
Stress management
Anger management
Conflict resolution
Can allow you to confidentially get help for a friend.

Can allow you to make anonymous referrals about school/community incidents and/or
concerns.
